Reds Sign Jason Marquis
The Cincinnati Reds signed pitcher Jason Marquis to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. Marquis, 36, has pitched in 368 career games for the Atlanta Braves, St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs, Colorado Rockies, Washington Nationals, Arizona Diamondbacks, Minnesota Twins, and San Diego Padres. He has a career record of (121-114) with a 4.56 ERA and one save. He pitched eight complete games and five of them were shutouts. He was a 2009 All Star selection and a 2006 Silver Slugger Award winner.
