Mariners, Cubs Swap Pitchers
The Seattle Mariners acquired pitcher Mike Kickham from the Chicago Cubs in exchange for pitcher Lars Huijer. Kickham, 26, never pitched for the Cubs, but he spent parts of the 2013 and 2014 seasons with the San Francisco Giants. In 14 games, he has compiled a record of (0-3) with a 10.98 ERA. Huijer, 21, split the 2014 season with Class-A Clinton and Class-A High Desert. In 28 games, he compiled a record of (6-9) with a 5.08 ERA. He also pitched one complete game.
