Mariners Sign Endy Chavez
The Seattle Mariners signed outfielder Endy Chavez to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. Chavez, 37 in February, has played in 1151 career games for the Kansas City Royals, Montreal Expos, Washington Nationals, Philadelphia Phillies, New York Mets, Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers, and Baltimore Orioles. He has a career batting average of .270 with 30 home runs and 266 runs batted in.
