White Sox Sign Two to Minors Deals
The Chicago White Sox signed pitcher Jairo Asencio and J.D. Martin to minor league contracts with invitations to spring training. Asencio, 31, has pitched in 43 career games for the Atlanta Braves, Cleveland Indians, Chicago Cubs, and Baltimore Orioles. He has a career record of (1-2) with a 5.34 ERA. Martin, 32, spent parts of the 2009 and 2010 seasons with the Washington Nationals. In 24 career games, he compiled a record of (6-9) with a 4.32 ERA.
