Cubs Sign Mike Baxter
The Chicago Cubs signed outfielder Mike Baxter to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. Baxter, 30, has played in 198 career games for the San Diego Padres, New York Mets, and Los Angeles Dodgers. He has a career batting average of .225 with four home runs and 26 runs batted in.
