Marlins Sign Ichiro
The Miami Marlins signed outfielder Ichiro Suzuki to a one-year contract with a base salary of $2 million. Ichiro, 41, has played in 2204 career games for the Seattle Mariners and New York Yankees. He has a career batting average of .317 with 112 home runs and 717 runs batted in. He is a 10-time All Star, a 10-time Gold Glove Award winner, a three-time Silver Slugger Award winner, the 2001 American League MVP and the 2001 American League Rookie of the Year.
