Rockies Sign Two to Minors Deals
The Colorado Rockies signed pitcher Rafael Betancourt and infielder Omar Quintanilla to minor league contracts with invitations to spring training. Betancourt, 39, has pitched in 635 career games for the Cleveland Indians and Colorado Rockies. He has a career record of (36-33) with a 3.19 ERA and 74 saves. Quintanilla, 33, has played in 402 career games for the Colorado Rockies, Texas Rangers, Baltimore Orioles, and New York Mets. He has a career batting average of .220 with eight home runs and 74 runs batted in.
