Two Sign With Independent Team
Pitcher Tim Stauffer and first baseman Allan Dykstra have signed with the Sugar Land Skeeters of the Atlantic League. Stauffer, 33, has pitched in 196 career games for the Padres and Twins. He has a career record of (33-34) with a 3.94 ERA. He has pitched in 13 games for the Twins this season. Dykstra, 28, made his Major League debut with the Tampa Bay Rays this season. In 13 games, he hit .129 with one home run and four runs batted in.
