Pirates Acquire J.A. Happ
The Pittsburgh Pirates acquired pitcher J.A. Happ from the Seattle Mariners in exchange for pitcher Adrian Sampson. Happ, 32, has pitched in 185 career games for the Phillies, Astros, Blue Jays, and Mariners. He has a career record of (55-59) with a 4.29 ERA. He has pitched four complete games in his career and three of them were shutouts. Sampson, 23, has compiled a record of (8-8) with a 3.98 ERA in 21 games with Triple-A Indianapolis this season.
