Angels Acquire Shane Victorino

The Los Angeles Angels acquired outfielder Shane Victorino and cash considerations from the Boston Red Sox in exchange for infielder Josh Rutledge. Victorino, 34, has played in 1261 career games for the Padres, Phillies, Dodgers, and Red Sox. He has a career batting average of .276 with 108 home runs and 486 runs batted in. He is a two-time All Star selection, a four-time Gold Glove Award winner, and he won the World Series with the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2008 season and the Boston Red Sox in the 2013 season. Rutledge, 26, has played in 266 career games for the Rockies. He has a career batting average of .259 with 19 home runs and 89 runs batted in.
