Indians, Padres Swap Almonte, Rzepczynski

The Cleveland Indians acquired outfielder Abraham Almonte from the San Diego Padres in exchange for pitcher Marc Rzepczynski. Almonte, 26, has played in 115 career games for the Mariners and Padres. He has a career batting average of .233 with five home runs and 28 runs batted in. Rzepczynski, 29, has pitched in 322 career games for the Blue Jays, Cardinals and Indians. He has a career record of (11-23) with a 3.81 ERA and one save. He won the World Series as a member of the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2011 season.
