Royals Acquire Johnny Cueto

The Kansas City Royals acquired pitcher Johnny Cueto and cash considerations from the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for pitchers Brandon Finnegan, John Lamb, and Cody Reed. Cueto, 29, has pitched in 213 career games for the Reds. He has a career record of (92-63) with a 3.21 ERA. He has pitched 11 complete games in his career and five of them were shutouts. He was selected to his first All Star Game in the 2014 season. Finnegan, 22, has pitched in 21 career games for the Royals. He has a career record of (3-1) with a 2.59 ERA. Lamb, 25, has pitched in 17 games for Triple-A Omaha this season. He has a record of (9-1) with a 2.67 ERA. Reed, 22, has split this season with Class-A Wilmington and Double-A Northwest Arkansas. In 18 games, he has compiled a record of (7-7) with a 2.53 ERA and one save.
