The Philadelphia Phillies designated pitcher Kevin Correia for assignment. Correia, 34, has pitched in 358 career games for the Giants, Padres, Pirates, Twins, Dodgers, and Phillies. He has a career record of (76-98) with a 4.62 ERA. He has pitched two complete games in his career and one of them was a shutout. He was selected to his first All Star Game in the 2011 season as a member of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
