Cardinals Acquire Jonathan Broxton
The St. Louis Cardinals acquired pitcher Jonathan Broxton and cash considerations from the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for outfielder Malik Collymore. Broxton, 31, has pitched in 582 career games for the Dodgers, Royals, Reds, and Brewers. He has a career record of (36-32) with a 3.25 ERA and 118 saves. He is a two-time All Star selection. Collymore, 20, has hit .216 with two home runs and seven RBI in 23 games with Johnson City this season.
