Blue Jays Acquire Troy Tulowitzki in Six-Player Trade

The Toronto Blue Jays acquired infielder Troy Tulowitzki and pitcher LaTroy Hawkins from the Colorado Rockies in exchange for infielder Jose Reyes and pitchers Jeff Hoffman (not pictured), Miguel Castro, and Jesus Tinoco (not pictured). Tulowitzki, 30, has played in 1048 career games for the Rockies. He has a career batting average of .299 with 188 home runs and 657 runs batted in. He is a five-time All Star selection, a two-time Gold Glove Award winner, and a two-time Silver Slugger Award winner. Hawkins, 42, has pitched in 1024 career games for the Twins, Cubs, Giants, Orioles, Rockies, Yankees, Astros, Brewers, Angels, and Mets. He has a career record of (74-94) with a 4.32 ERA and 126 saves. He has also pitched two complete games in his career, Reyes, 32, has played in 1515 career games for the Mets, Marlins, and Blue Jays. He has a career batting average of .291 with 115 home runs and 602 runs batted in. He is a four-time All Star selection and he won a Silver Slugger Award in the 2006 season as a member of the New York Mets. Castro, 20, made his Major League debut with the Blue Jays this season. In 13 games, he has compiled a record of (0-2) with a 4.38 ERA and four saves. Hoffman, 22, has split this season with Class-A Dunedin and Double-A New Hampshire. In 13 games, he has compiled a record of (3-3) with a 2.93 ERA. Tinoco, 20, has pitched in 15 games for Class-A Lansing this season. He has a record of (2-6) with a 3.54 ERA.
