Cubs Acquire Dan Haren
The Chicago Cubs acquired pitcher Dan Haren from the Miami Marlins in exchange for infielder Elliot Soto and pitcher Ivan Pineyro. Haren, 34, has pitched in 380 career games for the Cardinals, Athletics, Diamondbacks, Angels, Nationals, Dodgers, and Marlins. He has a career record of (149-129) with a 3.75 ERA and one save. He has pitched 16 complete games in his career and six of them were shutouts. He is a three-time All Star selection. Soto, 25, has hit .275 with no home runs and 18 RBI in 88 games with Double-A Tennessee this season. Pineyro, 23, has compiled a record of (7-5) with a 3.69 ERA and 19 games with Double-A Tennessee this season.
