Mets Acquire Tyler Clippard

The New York Mets acquired pitcher Tyler Clippard and cash considerations from the Oakland Athletics in exchange for pitcher Casey Meisner and cash considerations. Clippard, 30, has pitched in 457 career games for the Yankees, Nationals, and Athletics. He has a career record of (38-28) with a 2.87 ERA and 51 saves. He is a two-time All Star selection. Meisner, 20, has split this season with Class-A Savannah and Class-A St. Lucie. In 18 games, he has compiled a record of (10-4) with a 2.35 ERA.
