Rangers Acquire Sam Dyson in Three-Player Trade

The Texas Rangers acquired pitcher Sam Dyson from the Miami Marlins in exchange for catcher Tomas Telis and pitcher Cody Ege. Dyson, 27, has pitched in 82 career games for the Blue Jays and Marlins. He has a career record of (6-6) with a 3.87 ERA. Telis, 24, has played in 24 career games for the Rangers. He has a career batting average of .241 with no home runs and 10 runs batted in. Ege, 24, has split this season with Class-A High Desert and Double-A Frisco. In 35 games, he has compiled a record of (6-2) with a 1.00 ERA and two saves.
