According to Travis Sawchik of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Pirates' pitcher A.J. Burnett will be playing in his final season in 2015. Burnett, 38, has pitched in 409 career games for the Marlins, Blue Jays. Yankees, Pirates, and Phillies. He has a career record of (155-150) with a 4.04 ERA. He has pitched 24 complete games in his career and 10 of them have been shutouts. In his two prior seasons with the Pirates, he was a true help to the starting rotation. He was able to serve as a mentor to young Pirates' pitchers Gerrit Cole and Jeff Locke. Here's hope that his guidance helps the Pirates to a third consecutive playoff berth.
