A Familiar Face
The Atlanta Braves signed infielder Pedro Ciriaco to a minor league contract. Yes, I am aware that this is not major news; however, he used to play for the Pirates. Ciriaco appeared in 31 games with the Pirates between 2010 and 2011. In these games, he recorded a batting average of .333 with no home runs and seven runs batted in. Other than playing for the Pirates, he has also played for the Boston Red Sox, San Diego Padres, and Kansas City Royals. In his career, Pedro Ciriaco has appeared in 188 games while compiling a batting average of .270 with four home runs and 36 runs batted in.
