Hester to the Phillies
The Philadelphia Phillies announced that they have signed catcher John Hester to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. Hester appeared in 93 games with the Arizona Diamondbacks and Los Angeles Angels. In his brief tenure in the Major Leagues, Hester has recorded a .216 batting average with six home runs and fifteen runs batted in.
