Twins Decline Burton's Option
The Minnesota Twins have announced that they have declined the option of reliever Jared Burton. Burton, who was scheduled to make $3.6 million, appeared in 68 games with the Twins in the 2014 season in which he compiled a record of (3-5) with a 4.36 ERA and three saves. Burton, 33, has pitched in 367 games with the Cincinnati Reds and Minnesota Twins and has compiled a record of (18-19) with a 3.44 ERA and ten saves. I believe that Jared Burton would be a good piece for a team that needs a hard-throwing right-handed reliever. Expect him to find a new home this off season.
