Cardinals Exercise Lackey
St. Louis Cardinals have exercised the 2015 option of pitcher John Lackey. Lackey split the 2014 season with the Boston Red Sox and Cardinals after being acquired in a trade for pitcher Joe Kelly and outfielder Allen Craig. In 31 games pitched, Lackey compiled a record of (14-10) with a 3.82 ERA. Lackey also pitched one complete game. Lackey also pitched two games in the playoffs and compiled a record of (1-0). The 36-year-old pitcher will make $500,000 in the 2015 season.
