Philadelphia Phillies Moves
The Philadelphia Phillies have re-signed outfielder Grady Sizemore to a one-year contract. Sizemore, who will make $2 million in 2015, split the 2014 season with the Phillies and the Boston Red Sox and recorded a combined batting average of .233 with five home runs and 27 runs batted in. The 2014 campaign was Sizemore's first appearance in the Major Leagues since he last appeared with the Cleveland Indians in 2011. The Phillies also avoided arbitration with pitcher Cesar Jimenez. Jimenez appeared in 16 games with the Phillies in 2014 and did not register a decision, but had an ERA of 1.69.
