Rangers Decline Rios' Option
The Texas Rangers announced that they have declined the 2015 option for outfielder Alex Rios. Had the Rangers exercised the option, Rios would make $13.5 million in 2015. In 1586 career games with the Toronto Blue Jays, Chicago White Sox, and Texas Rangers, Rios has a career batting average of .278 with 165 home runs and 762 runs batted in. Rios was an All Star selection in 2006 and 2007 as a member of the Blue Jays.
