Arizona Fall League

Multiple Pirates prospects are participating in the Arizona Fall League. On Tuesday, Pirates pitching prospect Tyler Glasnow (above) was the starting pitcher in Game 1 of a double header yesterday for the Scottsdale Scorpions. Joely Rodriguez, another Pirates pitching prospect, started Game 2 of the double header. Yesterday, Josh Bell appeared as the designated hitter and went one for two with a single and a run scored. He was also hit by a pitch. Adrian Sampson, another Pirates pitching prospect, pitched in the ninth inning and registered a 1-2-3 inning. The Scottsdale Scorpions will continue playing games until mid-November. It will be interesting to see how the Pirates prospects perform the rest of the way. Tyler Glasnow is a candidate to make his Major League debut in 2015. It will be interesting to see how he does from now until the spring.
