Marlins Acquire Mat Latos
The Miami Marlins acquired pitcher Mat Latos from the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for pitcher Anthony DeSclafani and catcher Chad Wallach. Latos, 27, has pitched in 153 career games for the Padres and Reds. He has a career record of (60-45) with a 3.34 ERA. He has thrown four complete games with one of them being a shutout. DeSclafani, 24, made his Major League debut with the Marlins in 2014. In 13 games, he compiled a record of (2-2) with a 6.27 ERA. Wallach, 23, split the 2014 season with Class-A Jupiter and Class-A Greensboro. In 97 games, he hit .322 with seven home runs and 57 runs batted in.
