Mariners Acquire Justin Ruggiano From the Cubs

The Seattle Mariners acquired outfielder Justin Ruggiano from the Chicago Cubs in exchange for pitcher Matt Brazis. Ruggiano, 32, has played in 398 career games for the Tampa Bay Rays, Miami Marlins, and Chicago Cubs. He has a career batting average of .257 with 43 home runs and 137 runs batted in. Brazis, 25, split the 2014 season with Class-A High Desert and Double-A Jackson. In 40 games, he compiled a record of (4-1) with a 2.36 ERA and six saves.
