Royals Sign Edinson Volquez
The Kansas City Royals signed pitcher Edinson Volquez to a two-year contract worth $20 million. Volquez, 31, has pitched in 191 career games for the Texas Rangers, Cincinnati Reds, San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Pittsburgh Pirates. He has a career record of (66-59) with a 4.44 ERA. He has two career complete games with one of them being a shutout. Volquez was selected to his first All Star Game in 2008 as a member of the Reds.
