Diamondbacks Sign Two to Minors Deals
The Arizona Diamondbacks signed infielder Danny Worth and outfielder Ben Francisco to minor league contracts with invitations to spring training. Worth, 29, has played in 135 career games for the Detroit Tigers. He has a career batting average of .230 with two home runs and 19 runs batted in. Francisco, 33, has played in 563 career games with the Cleveland Indians, Philadelphia Phillies, Toronto Blue Jays, Houston Astros, Tampa Bay Rays, and New York Yankees. He has a career batting average of .253 with 50 home runs and 190 runs batted in.
