Blue Jays Sign Three to Minors Deals

The Toronto Blue Jays signed pitcher Wilton Lopez, infielder Jake Fox, and outfielder Caleb Gindl to minor league contracts with invitations to spring training. Lopez, 31, has pitched in 292 career games for the Houston Astros and Colorado Rockies. He has a career record of (16-17) with a 3.54 ERA and 11 saves. Fox, 32, has played in 193 career games for the Chicago Cubs, Oakland Athletics, and Baltimore Orioles. He has a career batting average of .237 with 20 home runs and 73 runs batted in. Gindl, 26, spent parts of the 2013 and 2014 seasons with the Milwaukee Brewers. In 65 career games, he has a .232 batting average with five home runs and 14 runs batted in.
