Nationals Sign Dan Uggla
The Washington Nationals signed infielder Dan Uggla to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. Uggla, 35 in March, has played in 1279 career games for the Florida Marlins, Atlanta Braves, and San Francisco Giants. He has a career batting average of .243 with 233 home runs and 690 runs batted in. He is a three-time All Star selection and a one-time Silver Slugger Award winner.
