Dodgers Acquire Jimmy Rollins

The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired infielder Jimmy Rollins and cash considerations from the Philadelphia Phillies in exchange for pitchers Zach Eflin and Tom Windle. Rollins, 36, has played in 2090 career games for the Phillies. He has a career batting average of .267 with 216 home runs and 887 runs batted in. He is a three-time All Star selection, a four-time Gold Glove Award winner, a one-time Silver Slugger Award winner, the 2007 National League MVP, and a 2008 World Series champion. Eflin, 20, spent the 2014 season with the Lake Elsinore Storm, the Class-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres. In 24 games, he compiled a record of (10-7) with a 3.80 ERA. Windle, 23 in March, spent the 2014 season with Class-A Rancho Cucamonga. In 26 games, he compiled a record of (12-8) with a 4.26 ERA.
