Angels Acquire Matt Joyce for Kevin Jepsen
The Los Angeles Angels acquired outfielder Matt Joyce from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for pitcher Kevin Jepsen. Joyce, 30, has played in 725 career games for the Detroit Tigers and Tampa Bay Rays. He has a career batting average of .250 with 88 home runs and 313 runs batted in. He was an All Star selection in 2011 as a member of the Rays. Jepsen, also 30, has pitched in 315 career games for the Angels. He has a career record of (13-18) with a 3.94 ERA and five saves.
