Rays Sign Three to Minors Deals

The Tampa Bay Rays signed catcher Bobby Wilson (pictured), outfielder Corey Brown, and infielder Eugenio Velez to minor league contracts with invitations to spring training. Wilson, 31, has played in 193 career games for the Angels and Diamondbacks. He has a career batting average of .209 with eight home runs and 37 runs batted in. Brown, 29, has played in 39 career games for the Nationals and Red Sox. He has a career batting average of .171 with two home runs and four runs batted in. Velez, 32, has played in 259 career games for the Giants and Dodgers. He has a career batting average of .241 with eight home runs and 72 runs batted in.
