Orioles Sign Delmon Young
The Baltimore Orioles signed outfielder Delmon Young to a one-year contract worth $2.25 million. Young, 29, has played in 1066 career games for the Tampa Bay Rays, Minnesota Twins, Detroit Tigers, Philadelphia Phillies, and Baltimore Orioles. He has a career batting average of .283 with 107 home runs and 550 runs batted in. He was the 2012 American League Championship Series MVP as a member of the Tigers.
