Mariners Sign Two to Minors Deals
The Seattle Mariners signed pitcher Mark Lowe and infielder Carlos Rivera to minor league contracts with invitations to spring training. Lowe, 31, has pitched in 271 career games for the the Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers, Los Angeles Angels, and Cleveland Indians. He has a career record of (8-21) with a 4.16 ERA with five saves. Rivero, 26, made his Major League debut for the Boston Red Sox in 2014. In four games, he hit .571 with one home run and three runs batted in.
